Senior Installation Supervisor - Chandlers Ford
Our client is growing their Installations Team to meet the ever-increasing needs of their expanding business. To help them achieve this, they are looking for a Senior Installation Supervisor to supervise and support their installations team and customers.
Based out of their Chandlers Ford branch, the Senior Installation Supervisor will predominantly be based out on their customer sites with occasional visits into the branch and other branches across the UK. As a Senior Installation Supervisor, you will need to lead by example as you will be responsible for the sale, effective and efficient delivery of installations meeting agreed quality standards, project timescales, and budget.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct installation teams to ensure work installations are delivered and completed safely, on time and within budget and to required standards.
2. Effectively manage and control on-site Confined Space projects.
3. Proactively participate in and where required lead project team meetings to discuss work schedules, resourcing, and related issues such as scheduling changes or upcoming projects.
4. Regularly monitor progress of installations using sound judgement to make any changes as necessary to schedules and resourcing to ensure delivery meets schedules.
5. Keep clients updated on project status to agreed frequencies and methods.
6. Oversee the work of supervisors to ensure that they are performing their jobs effectively, efficiently, safely, and to all required standards.
7. Ongoing supervision and monitoring of team members to ensure all individuals are meeting their individual job responsibilities. Hold regular discussions and provide guidance to aid improvement where the expected standards are not met.
8. Conduct performance evaluations of team members to review and assess their professional development and achievements and address professional development gaps areas for improvement.
9. Ensure all project team members, including those being trained, are aware of, competent, and working to the required Company installation standards and are knowledgeable of and comply with all other relevant company policies and procedures.
10. Ensure that project team members, including those being trained, are aware of and are compliant with Health and Safety procedures and the safe use of equipment, as required to carry out tasks in compliance with the safe system of works, relevant Company policies and regulations.
11. You will be required to supervise all aspects of the solution/sales project from conception to completion in conjunction with the solutions/sales team.
12. You will be liaising with the Installation Manager, delivering up-to-date information on the installation progress and any potential problems and foreseeable issues.
13. You will be carrying out on-site RAMS processes, ensuring all on-site risks have been identified and stringent control measures have been put into place, with the methodology of the installation communicated to all site staff and customers at every stage.
This role requires the employee to be willing and able to work at heights, work in confined spaces, lone working, and work with sewage.
Qualifications & Experience
1. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision will be advantageous or experience in a similar role.
2. CSCS gold card.
3. Clean water hygiene.
4. Confined Space.
5. Demonstrable experience of successfully supervising a team onsite, being able to demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team for successful outcomes.
6. A leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, offer sound feedback, and resolve conflict.
7. Demonstrable experience of developing teams including training, mentoring, and coaching.
8. Demonstrate a high level of communication skills with the ability to provide instruction and complex or detailed information and advice in a clear and positive manner.
9. Ability to act proactively / be forward-thinking whilst maintaining a methodical, attention to detail approach.
10. Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, to tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks at once, whilst ensuring efficiency and a strong output is achieved.
11. Work effectively as part of a team both locally and with departments in the wider business.
12. Ability and willingness to travel within and throughout the UK as and when necessary, sometimes with nights away.
13. A full UK driving licence is required for this position.
