Main duties of the job
1. Responsible for provision of technical services to designated wards and departments, ensuring continuous supply of medicinal products to patients within the Trust.
2. Accurate use of the Pharmacy IT System to supply constant data on drug expenditure and trends across the directorates within the Trust.
3. Participate in service developments to improve patient care and or increase efficiency.
4. Dispense medicines to inpatients and outpatients in accordance with current legislation. Attain highest level of expertise and maintain high standards of work at all times.
5. Participate in ward stock topping up and individual patient dispensing, ordering supplies of drugs in accordance with an agreed stock list.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 GSCEs or equivalent to include Maths and English Language
Experience
* Current experience of working as a Pharmacy Assistant or dispenser
* Understanding of the principles of accurate stock control
* Importance of following Standard Operating Procedures to fulfil duties
