Our engineering & maintenance teams in North Scotland are responsible for all aspects of the maintenance in the north maltings.
About this role
The Maintenance Manager leads a team of engineering personnel supporting 24/7 Malting and Distillery operations. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for delivering all aspects of process maintenance to support compliant, optimised, cost-effective lifecycle assurance of all plant while networking collaboratively with other Malt Distilling Engineering Centres.
This role will focus on people management, leading performance, developing teams, and ensuring that your team is connected to operational objectives. You will also be part of the on-call duty manager role for the wider production operation (currently 1 in 6 weeks).
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality Standards
* Ensuring compliance to maintenance regulatory standards within the area
* Working closely with Site Managers, Operators, Maintenance Leads, and Craft groups to ensure all mandatory and requested maintenance is effectively planned into the production schedule
* Supporting and energising deployment of the MMS Asset Care Strategy
* Developing and delivering focused improvements to drive plant uptime and cost competitiveness
* Driving improvement initiatives in line with Manufacturing Excellence asset care practice
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Ability to coordinate a variety of tasks and prioritise accordingly
* Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance techniques and data analysis
* Excellent analytical skills with ability to lead and drive improvements
* Able to work as an individual and as part of a team
* Degree or qualification in engineering or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience
* Full UK driving licence
