The Service offers mental health care and treatment across a variety of different age ranges and presentation. The post holder will be working as part of a team along with Medical and Clinical Administrators and other Administrative Assistants. The post holder will be expected to be able to use their own initiative and judgement, although they will be well supported by other Mental Health Admin staff and through the clinical and professional networks accessible through the community teams. The role is busy, challenging and rewarding. We are currently looking for a Administrative Assistant working 22.5 hours per week, supporting the Adult Mental Health Services based in Telford. What will the role entail? Utilise the patient administration system (RiO) on a daily basis keeping accurate records and booking of appointments. Carry out administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, uploading documents, typing. Use a variety of electronic systems (MS Office, RiO, MICAD, E-Proc). Manage and deal with calls from service users, families, carers, and other professionals. Support the team in carrying out admin work requests via the centralised admin inbox. Confidently handling queries of a challenging/sensitive nature. Concise & accurate message taking. Reception duties including meeting and greeting service users, carers, relatives and visitors, as requested by the Admin Support Supervisor and/or the Admin Team Leader.
