An essential and busy department within Squarcle that manages all the support functions from Compliance, Human Resources, Accounting and Finance and Executive support the business.

Job Overview/Introduction
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Compliance Manager will help the Squarcle Board of directors ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements and internal policies. Working across the business the compliance officer will develop, monitor and assure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001, internal policies and educate employees on their requirements.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Primary Duties of the Compliance Manager are:
1. Develop, deliver and report on the internal audit regime to comply with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 and all internal processes.
2. Coordinate any external audit requirements as mandated by ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 and partnering agreements.
3. Develop and contribute to robust and effective compliance controls.
4. Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations.
5. Monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
6. Ensure that findings are recorded and followed up so that issues can be rectified.
7. Educate employees on the regulations and the impact if they aren't complied with.
8. Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues.
9. Highlight or escalate areas of concern.
10. Perform various general administrative duties (such as file creation and maintenance of ongoing administrative projects).
Secondary Roles and Responsibilities
Secondary Duties of the Compliance Manager are:
1. Monitor employee progression on Hiscox Cybersecurity training.
2. Carry out other duties as specified by the Chief of Staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Essential)
1. Advanced Certificate in Compliance.
2. Strong understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001.
3. Strong organisational and problem-solving ability.
4. An ability to analyse and interpret information quickly.
5. Confident in speaking to and influencing senior management.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently, under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
8. Exceptional interpersonal skills.
9. Reliable and honest.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Desirable)
1. 2+ years’ experience in Compliance and Assurance.
2. Experience supporting Directors and Senior Stakeholders.
3. A worthy team player dedicated to contributing toward the outcome desired by the team.
4. High degree of emotional intelligence to effectively deal with increasingly diverse clients and teams.
This role requires you to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance. Clearance must be obtained without any caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role you’ve been recruited for. If it isn’t obtained, or is obtained but with caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role, any conditional offer made to you will be withdrawn. Obtaining SC security clearance can be a lengthy process, and we reserve the right to withdraw any conditional offer made if the necessary security clearance isn’t obtained within 6 months.
