About Us:
SLS has an 1180-strong membership, including 80% of secondary headteachers and representation in over 90% of Scottish schools. We advocate for school leaders' voices across Scottish education and are seeking a new team member.
The Role:
The Professional Learning Events Coordinator will lead the coordination of all professional learning activities across Scotland, supporting the General Secretary. Responsibilities include creating content for in-person and digital events, managing the user experience for speakers and delegates, and working extensively with IT systems, especially Microsoft Teams.
The role is home-based with occasional travel and overnight stays across Scotland. Equipment will be provided.
The candidate should have experience dealing with senior individuals, preferably with recent leadership or administrative experience in educational institutions, and a strong interest in professional development issues.
Compensation and Benefits:
The position pays from £42,456 to £47,544 annually, pro-rated at £16,982 for 0.4FTE. Benefits include 33 days holiday (pro-rata), bank holidays, a pension scheme with a 9% contribution, travel and out-of-pocket expenses, and a working from home allowance.
