We are looking for an experienced specialist to head our newly formed Payroll department, and provide additional bookkeeping support when required. The position will be on a subcontract basis, with potential to become PAYE in the future should it suit the chosen candidate.
The successful applicant will be joining an existing team of two at a practice that is proud to have seen exponential growth in the last twelve months.
The role will be mostly working from home, with some requirement to work with the team at the Totton office on an ad hoc basis.
The Role
1. Payroll processing of Monthly & Weekly pay frequencies on IRIS Staffology.
2. General bookkeeping on Xero, FreeAgent and Sage 50.
3. Processing CIS Returns and submitting a monthly EPS per client for CIS Suffered.
4. Dealing with pension and auto-enrolment.
5. General administration and providing support to the team.
6. Ability to prepare sole trader Self Assessments are preferred, but not essential.
Requirements
1. 3+ years of bookkeeping and Payroll experience.
2. Means to travel to our Totton office for in-house working when required.
3. Experience liaising with HMRC.
4. Ability to work independently.
