Following a period of significant organic and acquisitive growth, the Head of Delivery is a newly created position and a vital role in overseeing the effective delivery of key projects, whilst providing effective forecasting and supporting the Operations Director with driving strategic deliverables and metrics across the business. About the role; As Head of Delivery, you will be responsible for leading fast-paced, cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality technical projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of your clients. You will manage a team of engineers and project managers while working closely with sales teams and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet their goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities; Support Project Managers with resource planning and allocation. Oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets, with a focus on achieving or improving commerciality whilst delivering success for the client. Manage a portfolio of projects, and act as the primary or escalation point of contact for any project-related issues Monitor and track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, both internal and external Continuously improve project delivery processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction Maintain and develop excellent relationships with key customer contacts Ensure clients’ contractual requirements/agreements are communicated, understood, and delivered. Support in the delivery of organisational strategy in your area of responsibility Work closely with direct and indirect reports to encourage and capture suggested development and modification of procedures to ensure our continual improvement in quality and efficiency. Work closely with the People Team to improve people management and development processes for your direct and indirect reports, supporting development plans and mentoring team members as required. Know, adhere to, and apply contract/legislative conditions Who we’re looking for; We’re looking for an individual with a proven track record in leading complex teams in delivering high-level projects from within fast-paced and agile environments. The ideal candidate will be both commercially and financially astute, with the ability to drive performance through a P&L, identify risks and opportunities and provide accurate and detailed forecasting. Key skills; Excellent analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to estimate, plan and manage activities, services, and projects A proactive approach to delivery, development, and improvement. Strong understanding of formal technical documentation Excellent knowledge and understanding of Quality Management System procedures - able to support Quality Audits Excellent systems skills and an aptitude for improving processes Capable of managing others to achieve successful outcomes as a team.
