The role of the Modern Housekeeper is to provide a housekeeping service to the clinical environment. It is a valuable and rewarding role where you are part of the ward team, working together to ensure high standards.
Orthopaedic Theatres are fast paced, high activity area where patients are to undergo surgery. The Modern Housekeeper role is fundamental is ensuring that the environment is the best it can be for the patient and their relative.
The main elements of the role are to ensure that there is a seamless approach to the provision of non-clinical services; ensuring the appropriate delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, and together with other specified task. • Ensure that personal privacy, dignity and confidentiality relating to all aspects of the Trust’s operations is maintained.
• Liaise with the Service Provider to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment.• Liaise with the Lead Practitioner and Service Provider, to ensure that the day’s work is planned in the most appropriate way, in order to deliver a high standard of patient facilities services.
• Undertake the cleaning of medical equipment, and other relevant items as identified.
• Ensure thorough cleanliness standards are met throughout the Unit.
