Job Title: Off Aircraft Components Workshop Controller
Location: RAF Lossiemouth
Salary: £42,805
What you’ll be doing:
* You will demonstrate high levels of leadership skills and are an experienced people manager, managing multi-disciplinary and multi-skilled teams.
* Promoting and supporting team member’s career and personal development whilst fostering an open and honest working and reporting environment within the allocated resources and tasking constraints.
* Ensuring Maintenance of multiple Mechanical Components including windscreens, composite and structural, supersonic fuel tank including testing to meet agreed production plan timelines, being directly responsible for the delivery to Cost, Schedule, Standard and Quality of the programme.
* You will be required to ensure all deliverables meet the required airworthiness standards, promoting flight safety and ensuring all personnel comply with the overall airworthiness framework.
* Fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement by identifying a challenging inefficiency or poor working practices and driving forward Lean Improvement initiatives.
* Ensure you are fostering a just culture in support of the Safety Management System and proactively support Safety Action Groups, MEDA investigations and the timely closure of MEMS actions.
Your skills and experiences:
* Experience of electronic aircraft documentation.
* Able to read, interpret and digest engineering drawings, work instructions and approved data.
* Able to Lead and Manage a multi-skilled Workforce.
* Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or Military equivalent apprenticeship/qualifications.
* Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

The Off Aircraft Mechanical Workshop team:
This is a multi-discipline team with a mix of BAE Systems and RAF Staff. It is an aircraft maintenance environment working within Off aircraft mechanical workshops.
