Field Service Engineer, Electronics, Midlands to £30,000 + car
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join one of the world leading leisure brands. Due to growth, they are looking for a Field Service Engineer based within the Midlands region and working as part of the Midlands team. This role focuses on the provision of high-quality maintenance and technical support to end customers in this area. In addition to providing service support to UK sites, there is the possibility of travel to mainland Europe and ROW.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Provide exceptional service to customers within a designated region
2. Installation of third-party systems and products
3. Carry out hardware and software modifications/upgrades on existing sited equipment
4. Regular PPM maintenance of existing products
5. Root cause analysis and removal of issues
6. Reactive call-out response on customer sites within a designated region on a rota basis, including unsociable hours
7. Management and control of spare parts allocated to you and in your region
8. Communication and escalation of any service issues in line with the relevant processes
9. Flexibility to travel to cover for other regions during periods of high workload
10. Working as part of a team or individually responding to on-site customer support requests
11. Weekend and evening call-out cover on a rota system with other regional engineers
12. Undertake any other duties required by management to meet the needs of the business
13. Ensure call cover is maintained in the region during periods of holidays and sickness
14. Keep accurate boot stocks and consume parts as per the process
15. Ensure documentation is recorded accurately
Required Skills and Abilities
1. Ideally 5 years related technical maintenance/service support experience
2. Sound electrical/electronic background with recognised engineering qualifications an advantage
3. Experience of networks and server installation and maintenance an advantage
4. PC literate with ability to create, modify and maintain MS Office documents (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
5. Ability to work away if required with a flexible approach to working hours and location
6. Full UK driving license
