Job description Position Overview We are seeking dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to join our team at Kelwel Care. We provide residential services to children and young people and our goal is to ensure their physical, social, and emotional care and development. Duties and Responsibilities Awake Throughout Shift : Remain awake for the entire duration of your working shift. Safety and Welfare : Ensure the safety and welfare of each child during the wake night shift. Empathy and Compassion : Offer empathy and compassion to children who may find night times challenging. Record Keeping : Accurately maintain records. Communication : Effectively communicate with out-of-hour services if needed. Policy Adherence : Follow Kelwel policies, procedures, and guidelines. Role Model : Act as a positive role model. Skills and Qualifications Teamwork : Ability to work as part of a team and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role. Safeguarding : Experience and knowledge in safeguarding children. Handover Tasks : Follow delegated tasks and give detailed handovers. Communication : Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Engagement : Engage and listen to children. Education : A-Level or equivalent (preferred). Qualification : Level 3 Diploma (QCF/NVQ3) in Childcare and Young People (provided if necessary). Candidate Requirements Driving License : All applicants must have a valid full manual UK/EU driving licence and be over the age of 21 (in accordance with The Childrens Homes England) Regulations 2015).
