Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and forward-thinking GP for 4-8 sessions a week to join our friendly, innovative team with the added attraction of working in rural and semi rural locations

This is a GP training practice involved in FY2, GPVTS, Nurses and Medical Students training.

Main duties of the job
The Post holder will provide the full range of NHS General Medical Services to the patients registered at the Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice temporary residents and patients presenting for immediately necessary treatment including clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment and referrals as appropriate.
About us
Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice is made up of three GP Partners, three Salaried GPs, a Clinical Services Manager, a Paramedic Practitioner and a Clinical Pharmacist. We have a good solid Nursing team which consists of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Nurse Practitioner, two Practice Nurses, a HCA and a GPA. The clinical team is supported by an experienced administration team, including the Practice Manager, Operations Manager, Performance Manager and a Reception Supervisor as well as two Medical Secretaries.
The Practice has a list sizeof just over 10,000 patients. Hawkinge Health Centre is situated in the small town of Hawkinge, on the outskirts of Folkestone with easy links tothe M20 and mainline train station, making commuting relatively easy. Although our Elham Surgery is rural which means access to a vehicle is preferred.
The Practice is a pleasant place to work with a relaxed atmosphere and wonderful team spirit. We have wellmaintained and stocked clinical rooms, staff room for breaks and for ease,onsite parking.

To provide the full range of NHS Primary Medical Services to the patients registered at the Harbour Medical Practice, temporary residents and patients presenting for immediately necessary treatment including clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment and referral as appropriate.
1. · Maintain a Current GMC Registration

All members of the practice are expected to observe safe working practices, with respect to health and safety procedures, confidentiality and computer security. Protocols will be updated from time to time, and members of the team are expected to familiarise themselves with changes in policy. The practice also relies on team members to record critical incidents and assist with improving policies and protocols when necessary.

A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003 Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983 Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT) Currently on a PCT performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register DBS clearance
Desirable
29. Desirable Evidence of further postgraduate educational activities in relevant fields MRCGP DCH DRCOG RCGP Substance Misuse Certificate Level 1 or 2 F2 supervisor training/teaching diploma DFSRFH & Competence in Coil insertion Evidence of CPD activities
