Team Leader (Health Visiting) - Band 7
18 hrs Fixed Term/Secondment
Based at Ryehill Health Centre, Dundee
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tayside Health Visiting Service for experienced Specialist Community Public Health Nurses - Health Visiting or equivalent qualification to apply for the post of Team Leader on a Fixed Term or Secondment to 1 December 2025. We are seeking a solution focused professional Health Visitor who possesses vision and who is keen to develop self and Teams.
The successful candidates will have a key role in providing Leadership, support and guidance to Health Visitors and Early Years workers within the Service to deliver the National Health Visiting Universal Pathway to improve outcomes for children and families. You will work closely with the Senior Nurse to evidence and meet both local and national priorities.
It is essential to have a comprehensive knowledge of GIRFEC, the Children & Families (Scotland) Act 2014 and the responsibilities of the Named Person function. Within the Team Leaders role it is expected that the successful candidate will work closely with their Teams, to support, empower and develop positive, person centred and solution focused individuals and Team Cultures. In doing so, it is imperative that Team Leaders are visible, accessible and present for your teams. Travel between sites and across Tayside will be required.
Candidates should have experience working with vulnerable children and families and be able to provide evidence of recent postgraduate study and or be willing to undertake relevant study essential for the post.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register and hold a Special Health Visiting or Public Health qualification.
