Job Description:
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.
Our Landscape, Masterplanning, and Urbanism (LMU) team is looking for a Landscape Architect to join our growing team with a strong focus on LVIA/TVIA projects. The team consists of 90+ people offering the full spectrum of Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning, and Urban Design services. The services range from Masterplanning, urban regeneration, strategic planning, design concept, through to detail and implementation, as well as Environmental Assessment and LVIA/TVIA.
As part of our Environmental team, you'll help improve quality of life. With your specialization in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality, or noise in some of the world's busiest and most beautiful locations.
We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we're feeling the effects of climate change, rapid urbanization, and loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we're seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations.
As part of our team, you will have a strong focus on LVIA/TVIA projects. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including our sector-leading in-house environmental disciplines and high-profile designers, as well as external partners. You'll have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's largest, most complex, and technically demanding projects, including major large-scale energy generation and transmission projects, important residential and mixed-use developments, as well as significant infrastructure projects.
However, not all of our projects are large scale. We have equally exciting smaller projects, presenting a rich and varied portfolio of projects and clients at national and local levels, in both the private and public sector.
You'll be challenged and inspired by projects that demand a variety of ideas and solutions. It's why we value collaboration. You'll work with talented colleagues who bring fresh thoughts. And while each Arcadian brings their own perspective, we are united by a passion for sustainability, collaboration, and a desire to solve the most complex challenges our world faces.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Demonstrable strong experience of leading the preparation of LVIAs/TVIAs, landscape character assessments, and other related studies, shaping and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
* Demonstrable strong experience in delivering LVIAs/TVIAs across a wide range of sectors, including residential development, transport, and energy infrastructure projects.
* Demonstrable strong experience of direct client involvement and broad stakeholder engagement in the preparation of LVIAs/TVIAs.
* Experience in managing staff and commercial resources in the delivery of projects.
* Preferable experience with T&CP and DCO applications, including the examination process. Expert witness experience would also be advantageous.
* Highly capable and crafted experience in successful high-quality report writing.
* Proficient AutoCAD and experienced Adobe Creative Suite user.
* Preferable BIM and Project Wise capability.
