We are now seeking a talented and driven Assistant Regional Management Accountant to join our finance team, you will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and associated management information for the Funeral Operations Division, in conjunction with the Regional Management Accountant for this department. The day-to-day will involve: Assisting the Regional Management Accountant with the month end process and preparation of accurate monthly management accounts. Reviewing designated accruals and prepayments on a monthly basis. Producing monthly/quarterly reports accurately & timely including balance sheet reconciliations. Preparing of management information, presentation data and supporting schedules using both Excel and PowerPoint. Ensuring month end activities are completed accurately and within the required timescales. Assisting with the quarterly stock take process, i.e. send out stock packs collate the stock returns. Account analysis and review to ensure transactions are allocated correctly within the accounts. Developing working relationships and answering queries from various stakeholders within the business. What you will bring: Broad understanding of a Finance function. Understanding of accruals, prepayments, invoices and other finance functions. Be able to analyse large quantities of data in excel. Working towards AAT would be advantageous but not required. Any experience utilising financial systems is advantageous (Oracle, SAGE, SAP etc). PC Literate and has good knowledge of using Excel to manipulate data. (VLOOKUP’s, SUMIF, pivot tables). What do you get? £25,460 per annum 22 Days Holiday Bank Holidays. Pension Scheme 4% Matched.
