Join us to help Bring Back Nature to East Cambridgeshire The newly created Climate Change and Natural Environment Team has been given the mandate to Bring Back Nature to East Cambridgeshire. And we need your help to do so. We are seeking a highly motivated ecologist to join the team. You might be newly qualified, or have experience out in the field, but most important of all you must be determined to help boost the biodiversity of our fabulous district. Our district is blessed with several European Protected habitats, several more SSSIs, and collection of local designations. We are home to the National Trust first ever nature reserve, Wicken Fen, now one of Europe’s most important wetlands with over 9,000 species recorded. But large areas of our district are also nature deplete and in need of support and transformation, whilst respecting the high value nationally important arable crop production in the area. You will work alongside our existing Senior Ecologist, who will support and develop your skills and career. Your role will comprise a mix of statutory based Biodiversity Net Gain work, as well as survey work and helping to deliver proactive biodiversity projects on our own estate. Come and join us at this pivotal time of change and help us make decisions with real and lasting impact.
