Job Title: Sexual Violence Support Worker

Are you experienced in supporting people who have experienced sexual violence? Do you want to help those who have been through some of the most traumatic experiences? We are working with an incredible charity in the Neath / Port Talbot area, who provide support, advice, and guidance.
There are full-time and part-time posts available.
What are the basics?
* A fixed term contract until 31st March 2025.
* Full-time hours - 35 per week for full-time / 22.5 hours for part-time.
* Salary of up to £23,500 for full-time (pro rata for part-time).
* Covering the Neath, Port Talbot, Ammanford, and Carmarthenshire area.
* 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

What will you do?
* Be part of a therapeutic support project for survivors of sexual violence.
* Deliver a trauma-informed, strengths-based service to those who are vulnerable.
* Facilitate one-to-one and group support.
* Work with other organisations and services (multi-agency working).
* Attend meetings to represent the individual and the organisation.
* Make and take referrals to the service.
* Manage a caseload and keep detailed records.
What do we need?
* A support worker with experience of supporting those who have experienced sexual violence and abuse.
* Experience of working with other teams, services, and organisations (SARC, ISVA, Substance Support, GPs, etc.).
* Knowledge of the impact of sexual violence on individuals.
* Someone with a non-judgemental, supportive, and compassionate approach.
* Experience of supporting people through crisis situations.
* Good IT skills (for report writing, communication, and record keeping).
* Ability to travel around the area - need a driver's licence and own vehicle.
* A DBS on the update service or willing to complete a new DBS check.
