Health & Safety Manager

Due to expansion, we are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our team at our head office in North London. Travel to sites will be required.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced.
2. Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards.
3. Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
4. Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
5. Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy.
6. Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.
7. Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
8. Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.
9. Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.
10. Attend Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) seminars and read professional journals.
11. Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins.
12. Ensure equipment is installed safely.
13. Manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances, e.g. asbestos.
14. Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3+ years in a similar role.
2. NEBOSH Qualified or other H&S related qualification.
3. IT skills.
4. Attention to detail.
5. A flexible approach to work.
