Utilities Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newry
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Overview:
Support a multi-disciplinary team to optimise company assets and develop maintenance programs for site Utilities. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards while engaging with various departments and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
* Oversee regulatory and audit requirements for Utilities maintenance.
* Manage 3rd-party contractors and ensure all necessary documents are provided.
* Keep SOPs current and accurate for maintenance activities.
* Lead the team to maintain Utilities and systems, minimizing downtime.
* Track and report on KPIs for Utility assets, showing improvements in uptime.
* Ensure maintenance schedules are met and documented.
* Implement HR policies and ensure team performance meets standards.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or a relevant discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC, or Degree).
* 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience or 2+ years post-graduate experience.
* Proven experience in team leadership, coordination, and work execution.
* Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to generate reports.
Desirable Criteria:
* 3rd-level qualification in a related technical field.
* IOSH or NEBOSH certification or working towards it.
* 5+ years of supervisory or technical leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
