Skills and Competencies
* 7+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional strategic business projects as a Delivery Manager/Scrum Master with successful outcomes using agile and lean principles.
* Understand customer needs, build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of Moody’s Ratings.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for effective business change management and problem-solving.
* Strong negotiation skills in de-escalating interpersonal, inter-team conflicts.
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* A high level of initiative and a flexible approach; capable of handling competing demands, ambiguity, and changing priorities.
* Strong organizational skills and self-motivated with strong attention to detail and follow through.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle critical situations with self-awareness.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* JIRA/Confluence experience is preferred.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
* Scrum Master certification required.
* Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
Responsibilities
* Lead complex, fast-paced Moody’s Ratings methodology and assessment framework global projects applying agile and lean principles. Coach project teams to foster collaborative, self-organizing and accountable environments, and ensure agile and scrum principles are applied, as relevant.
* Facilitate scrum ceremonies (backlog, sprint, planning, retrospective) and project meetings, manage project risks, motivate project teams to deliver high-quality business outcomes on time.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage key business initiatives through understanding business needs and identifying potential impacts of proposed changes.
* Act as a servant leader facilitating collaboration, timely decision-making, conflict resolution, and delegation.
* Conduct regular project risk analysis, measure against plan and scope, and support work breakdown into epics, user stories; support acceptance criteria for optimal outcomes and implement effective mitigation strategies.
* Support planning, scheduling and oversee project coordination.
* Report project progress leveraging JIRA; manage periodic project portfolio reporting.
* Adaptability is essential to handle changing project requirements and ensure continuity.
About the team
The Methodology and Models Development Group (MMDG) at Moody’s is responsible for developing and publishing all new methodologies and assessment frameworks and revisions thereto, as well as the related models, scorecards and analytical tools used in Moody’s Ratings. Moody’s Ratings’ credit rating methodologies describe the analytical framework rating committees use to assign ratings, and assessment frameworks describe the analytics behind a variety of Moody’s Ratings’ non-rating products that are relevant to fixed income investors.
