THE ROLE
Tristan seeks to recruit a senior analyst who will work with the fund finance team in London. The new hire will be based in Tristan’s headquarters in London.
The individual will work alongside the Portfolio and Asset Management team and will be involved throughout the life of an investment from acquisition, to disposition. The successful candidate will be a highly driven professional, wanting to join a market-leading group and play an important role in its growth. Whilst being a good team player, there will be many opportunities for direct ownership and responsibility so the candidate should be a highly motivated and a confident self-starter.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Take ownership of the financial aspects of a real estate private equity fund
* Take charge of the over-sight of the external Fund administrators, and management of:
o quarterly and annual reports
o annual audited financial statements (with administrators)
o capital call notices and distribution notices to investors (with administrators)
o cash and liquidity management and monitoring of the Funds’ revolving credit facilities
* Basic understanding of Fund model operations and be able to assist in the preparation of Fund level forecasts returns and cash flow projections
* Take responsibility for the preparation of quarterly and ad-hoc reporting to Investors and support the Investor Relations team.
* Be involved in the execution and onboarding of real estate deals, from a finance perspective, including understanding the accounting treatment for real estate SPV and asset level deals.
* Manage the coordination of the year-end group audit process and the oversight of local accountants in the preparation of subsidiary annual accounts and meeting local filing requirements
* Work closely with the Asset Management and Investment teams on financial aspects of Investments
* Work closely with third party service providers (including local accountants, tax advisors and auditors) and joint venture partners & co-ordinate their work with the Fund administrators
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* Enthusiastic and flexible team player
* Private equity or real estate experience
* Exposure to investment funds Excellent knowledge and understanding of accounting fundamentals and regulations
* Skilled in Excel with confidence in using advanced formula
* Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written
* Fluency in a second language advantageous but not essential
* ACCA/CA Qualified Accountant, or equivalent
