Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)
Our client, a well-respected and forward-thinking academy based in March, Cambridgeshire, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Head of Religious Education to lead and inspire their RE department from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RE teacher looking to take the next step in their career, or an existing Head of Department seeking a new challenge in a supportive and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about Religious Education and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning that engages students and promotes critical thinking and reflection.
The Role:
* Lead and manage the RE department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
* Develop and implement an engaging and inclusive RE curriculum that reflects the diverse beliefs and values of students.
* Inspire and support a team of RE staff, providing clear direction and promoting professional development.
* Monitor and track student progress, using data to drive improvement.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school through assemblies, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be a qualified teacher with QTS and a strong track record of success in teaching Religious Education.
* Have experience in a leadership role or the ambition and skills to step into one.
* Be committed to promoting the importance of RE in developing students’ understanding of the world around them.
* Be an excellent communicator, motivator, and role model for both students and staff.
* Have a passion for education and a belief in the potential of every student.
