Power Electronics Engineer Location - Stafford £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience On behalf of our client we are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Engineer to design and model advanced power electronics systems for Marine, Aerospace, and Defence applications. If you’re passionate about creating innovative solutions like motor drives, inverters, and power management systems, this is the role for you Key Responsibilities: Design and develop power electronic circuits (e.g., DC-DC converters, inverters, motor drives) with a focus on efficiency and reliability. Model and simulate systems using MATLAB, Simulink, and LTSpice to validate performance. Develop and execute design verification plans and collaborate on hardware testing. Integrate power electronics into larger systems, ensuring seamless hardware and software compatibility. Prepare detailed technical documentation and stay updated on industry trends to enhance designs. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. Proven expertise in designing and modeling power electronics systems like converters and inverters. Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, LTSpice, and control algorithms; strong analytical and circuit design skills.
