About Make Agency: Make is a growing digital agency based in the heart of East London. We specialise in delivering innovative digital solutions across a range of industries, including logistics/travel, hospitality, finance, and retail destinations. Our team is passionate about social content, paid media, and performance-driven marketing strategies. Due to new client wins, we’re looking for an Account Director to join our Client Services team and play a key role in leading and growing accounts.
About the Role: The Account Director will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, with a focus on both Paid Media and Social Content. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive performance through biddable media and organic content strategies while ensuring profitability and account expansion. The ideal candidate will be commercially focused, confident in leading client relationships, and capable of motivating internal teams to deliver outstanding multi-channel digital solutions. Working closely with senior clients and the Client Services Director, the Account Director will ensure the seamless execution of workstreams and identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Strategy & Growth – Develop and execute strategic growth plans for key accounts, ensuring retention and identifying upsell opportunities.
* Senior Client Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, positioning Make as a trusted partner.
* Paid Media & Social Content Strategy – Oversee biddable media strategies (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok) and organic social content to ensure seamless integration and execution.
* Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – Anticipate challenges within accounts or teams and implement solutions quickly and effectively.
* Project & Workflow Management – Ensure smooth workflow management and project execution in collaboration with internal teams.
* Delegation & Leadership – Lead and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development and optimising team efficiency.
* Presentations & Pitches – Lead client presentations, pitch new ideas, and provide strategic insights in proposals and meetings.
* Data & Insights – Analyse performance data to draw actionable insights that enhance client strategies and execution.
* New Business Development – Support the Client Services Director in pitches and research to drive agency growth.
Minimum Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in a digital, social, or creative agency.
* Strong understanding of social content, paid media, and digital marketing, with a passion for emerging trends.
* Proven experience managing and growing accounts for national and international brands.
* Experience leading both Paid Media and Social Content-driven accounts.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and build relationships.
* Confident working directly with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
* Exceptional project management skills, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
* Commercial mindset with experience in account growth, profitability, and client retention.
* Strong negotiation skills, able to balance business priorities with client needs.
* Detail-oriented and process-driven, ensuring high standards across all work.
* A problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle challenges efficiently.
* Hands-on, can-do attitude—willing to get involved and support the wider agency when needed.
