MERCHANDISER | EASTERN ENGLAND | HIGH PERFORMING FASHION BUSINESS | UP TO £55,000 DOE
For this opportunity, you'll find yourself immersed in the creative side of merchandising as you'll work closely with your design and buying teams on the new, commercial, and profitable ranges that are being bought for the business. This brand has been doing incredibly well, so looking after your best sellers and driving new and exciting products is essential. This brand truly cares about the product they offer to their consumers.
As the Merchandiser, you will be actively involved in the setup of new reporting tools and the rollout of WSSI's. You will trade and de-risk your category area by having a commercial approach to knowing your best sellers and how to capitalize on newness while ensuring that your Junior and Assistants are accountable for their own trading areas.
AS THE MERCHANDISER, YOU WILL BE:
1. Forecasting stock within inventory plans with the support of junior members of your team.
2. Balancing pricing, risk profile, category, supplier profiles, colour, and mixes throughout all product ranges each season.
3. Building and implementing WSSI & OTB management to ensure sales and stock targets are achieved.
4. Identifying best sellers and move-ons that the team needs to focus on to generate new sales.
5. Reviewing product and supplier mixes with your Buyer to ensure that the right product, quality, and designs are being brought into the business.
6. Building strategy, lessons learned, and weekly trade packs for the wider team, while confidently presenting your suggestions and actions to senior management.
7. Establishing a consistent pricing architecture across your ranges while being mindful of the competition and any promotional activity you wish to implement.
8. Managing the range in conjunction with the Head of Merchandising, along with the Buying & Design team, ensuring that the best product is being brought into the business.
9. Conducting market-specific promotions and activities to grow the business, providing a great opportunity to have autonomy within a merchandising function.
10. Analysing and collating data to provide support to the team in decision-making.
11. Constantly monitoring and reviewing online performance to maximize profit.
12. Ensuring that your team is well-prepared for new range implementation and ranging amendments, ensuring correct stock quantities are ordered and replenishment levels loaded.
13. Responsible for monthly re-forecasting while feeding back key actions to the Senior and Head of Merchandising.
14. Protecting your department by reviewing your cover each week and making commercial decisions about getting new products or repeats into the business.
15. Being a motivating line manager who is approachable to all junior colleagues.
