What’s on offer?
We are looking to appoint a Senior Community & Stakeholder Advisor to join our Newcastle Inner City Bypass Project Team. Working closely with Transport for NSW this project comprises of 3.4kms of four-lane divided road with interchanges at Newcastle Road, Lookout Road and the John Hunter Hospital precinct. Upgrades to existing connecting roads, pedestrian bridge and underpass are included in the scope of works to complete. This $450 million project will provide essential infrastructure to the Newcastle community.
As a Senior Community Relations Advisor you will proactively engage and build relationships with our community, stakeholders and organisations. You will design and deliver a range of communication strategies to support project delivery, operational business initiatives and enhance employee engagement. Day to day you will:
5. Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to deliver best practice communications for internal and external audiences across a variety of formats;
6. Building trusted relationships with senior leaders and the project team to provide communications support and specialist stakeholder management advice for project-based resources;
7. Contributing to a positive team culture through effective employee engagement strategies;
8. Develop, implement and evaluate the community and stakeholder management plan;
9. Identifying and managing opportunities to build brand awareness through industry partnerships and community outreach programs;
10. Preparing high-quality communication material to be published across a range of communication internal and external channels.
How you’ll connect to the role
11. Experience working in a communications or stakeholder management role;
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills that combine with creative thinking and problem-solving skills;
13. Experience working in the infrastructure industry will be highly desirable;
14. A collaborative style with the ability to quickly build relationships and engage a wide range of stakeholders;
15. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant communication-field are desirable.
