The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse in ED is a varied job role that combines clinical duties, team leadership, and management responsibilities. The successful candidate will be professionally accountable and responsible for the standards and delivery of nursing care within their area of management.
They will have expert level knowledge and be able to deliver quality emergency nursing care in all areas of the ED, including Resus and Majors. They will uphold exceptional standards of IPC and cleanliness.
They will act as a coach/mentor to junior members of the team and be responsible for the information governance on their Ward/Department and the completeness of data.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, highly skilled Registered Nurse to join the nursing leadership team within the Emergency Department as a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse. You will need to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and experience in Emergency Care with a commitment to providing high quality, safe care for all patients that attend the Emergency Department. You should have nursing experience of triage and assessment of the unwell/injured patient, Resuscitation, Major and Minor Illness, with an ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
