As an Operational Team Manager, you will contribute positively and identify new/different opportunities with respect to how daily operations are carried out. This role is suitable for an employee who goes above and beyond in their current role and works well within a team.
You will report to the Assistant Plant Manager (Arif Valli) and be located onsite at Springfields Fuels Ltd. Export Powder Packing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Charge of the day-to-day running of plant operations.
2. Ensure operations are conducted in line with the plant safety case and Nuclear Site Licence.
3. Ensure all safety rules and procedures are applied and improve safety standards.
4. Manage and supervise plant operators and operations, including allocation of work.
5. Develop, maintain and improve performance via a performance center methodology.
6. Lead daily reviews to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met, and take appropriate action to close variances.
7. Utilize methodologies such as 4C/PPS to resolve plant issues.
8. Support and deliver plant improvements to maximize output and lead plant efficiencies and cost savings.
9. Set and maintain standards including the use of process confirmation, standard work observations, and short interval follow-up.
10. Develop the team, ensuring training and currency targets are met and the Performance Management Assessment process is followed.
11. Communicate with other supervisors/departments.
12. Hands-on approach to production within the building.
13. Provide support to the Business Units.
14. Update plant documentation.
Qualifications:
1. Evidence of being a team player but also able to work independently.
2. Demonstrated background in the supervision of employees.
