Our client, a leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Systems & Controls Development to join their team. This permanent position is vital for ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes and product quality through the development and sustainment of robust systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nExemplifying a safety-first mindset and ensuring compliance with aerospace health, safety, and environmental policies.\nTechnical expertise at a local project level in deploying manufacturing improvement initiatives.\nProviding technical expertise to solve issues related to vendor schedule and/or quality.\nAnalysing technical issues, risks, and opportunities to enhance product value.\nMaintaining positive team relationships with internal and external customers and colleagues.\nContinuous improvement of production processes through Lean initiatives.\nImplementing electrical/electronic process improvement initiatives.\nEffective project management.\nIncorporating SCADA-based technology and systems.\nIntroduction of embedded process analytics and networked OEE systems.\nAutomation of batch processes and RFID tracking.\nManaging key projects and providing leadership.\nKnowledge of CMMS systems.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nTechnical expertise in manufacturing engineering and automation in sectors like aerospace, automotive, electrical, chemical or pharmaceutical engineering.\nA professional qualification in electrical/electronic controls-based engineering.\nExperience with high-speed manufacturing and embedding automated systems.\nExperience in PLC programming - Rockwell/Siemens.\nKnowledge of SCADA systems and integration.\nFamiliarity with OEE systems and industry 4.0 technologies.\nUnderstanding of condition-based monitoring.\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.\n\nRequired Qualification Requirements:\n\nProfessional qualification HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nProject management qualification/experience.\nIEE Regulations.\nDMAIC Green/Black belt.\nIf you are an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer seeking a new challenge and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace projects, we would love to hear from you.
