The Lansdown Clinic is in the heart of the Cotswolds, Stonehouse and is looking for a part time, self employed Sports Therapist to join their award winning multi-disciplinary team. Stonehouse is a community driven town with great links to Bristol, Gloucester, Cheltenham as well as having a direct train link with the Midlands and London.
The clinic prides itself on evidence-based patient centred care and has a dedicated gym and rehab suite onsite. The team consists of chiropractors, foot health practitioner, sports therapist, and a massage therapist. We also run Pilates and fitness classes. The clinic has been established for over 20 years and has an excellent reputation within the community, local GPs and other health care professionals.

All candidates are required to have a degree in Sports Therapy and registered with the SST.
Key Responsibilities to the clinic:
● Use your knowledge and skills to treat sporting injuries, advise on injury prevention and support rehabilitation, using a range of physical techniques and therapies
● Rehabilitate injuries by using manual therapy techniques and exercise
● Treat and manage injuries to alleviate pain
● Design and monitor rehabilitation programmes appropriate to the injury and/or fitness level
● Provide personal evaluations to clients on their exercise level by reviewing their abilities, physical condition and overall health to ensure that all exercise plans are suitable.
● Create personalised routines that assist clients in reaching their goals while remaining suitable to their current physical abilities.
● Teach clients on the proper techniques for all exercises, especially when using more complicated equipment, to minimise the risk of injury.
● Monitor clients on their status and make changes to their individual plans based on any physical changes and increased or decreased health levels.
● Perform massages for patients.
● Test joints for ease and range of movement, pain and dysfunction
● Examine and assess injuries and determine whether the sport and exercise participant can continue safely with the event or activity
● Work alongside the chiropractors within the clinic and co manage cases as and when required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Provide a warm, polite and courteous greeting to all patients.
● Ensure clinical and non-clinical standards and patient files are checked in order to prepare for the day
● Liaise with other departments to ensure a smooth journey for all patients
● Fully support the clinical teams
● Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times
● Ensure clinical notes are taken correctly within the patient management system
● Monitor patient flows and adjust according to service needs
