Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

The Role
1. Provide a first-class business partnering finance service, supporting key business decisions and strategy.
2. Serve as the financial conscience, working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner at a detailed level.
3. Understand key stakeholder KPIs and determine the necessary reporting to support their achievement.
4. Play a vital role in the month-end close process within the Group timetable.
5. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
6. Review and reconcile inter-company accounts.
7. Support the Finance team in maintaining the integrity of accounting records.
8. Prepare financial analyses and reports.
9. Drive process improvement reviews across the current finance structure.
10. Investigate and resolve audit findings.
11. Support the production of year-end accounts and the Annual Performance Report for Ofwat.
12. Ensure accurate data entry into Oracle with the Financial Reporting and Planning Manager.
13. Deliver management information and insights to business stakeholders to support daily operations.
14. Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in monthly and ad-hoc reporting to the Executive team.
15. Ensure the integrity of numbers provided to business stakeholders, maintaining consistency with corporate reporting.
16. Ensure adherence to procurement financial regulations.
17. Play a key role in delivering the budget with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Financial Reporting and Planning Manager.
18. Participate in the budget process with Operations, ensuring it is straightforward for non-finance stakeholders while maintaining engagement with the final numbers.
19. Deliver the monthly forecast process with business stakeholders, ensuring timely and rigorous submissions.
What You'll Need
1. ACA qualification or ACCA/CIMA with significant experience.
2. Strong experience of management and financial accounts.
3. High level of attention to detail and ability to work through large amounts of data.
4. Strong report writing skills with ability to pitch output at differing levels within a business.
5. Experienced in supporting forecast and budget processes.
6. IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, with a desirable knowledge of Oracle but not essential.
7. Knowledge of financial results to both financial and non-financial professionals at SMT and Exec levels.
8. Desirable to have knowledge of the Water Industry and its regulatory framework.
9. Experience of preparing statutory accounts.
