An excellent opportunity has become available for a friendly, flexible and welcoming team member to become a Receptionist at Parkside Frimley. The successful candidate will be working within inpatients and outpatients wards and will be required to work 2 x 7.5 hours per week - this is done on a rolling rota and hours could be with various start and end times.
EG: 6.30-2.30 / 8.00-16.00 /10-18.00 /2.00 -20.00
The successful candidate will be the face of Parkside and greet both inpatients and outpatients to the ward, working closely with clinical teams and consultants, an excellent customer service attitude is pivotal for this position.
Main duties of the job
* Welcome patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner ensuring a high standard of customer service at all times.
* Escort patients to their rooms and explain the facilities to ensure they feel comfortable within their surroundings.
* Communicate effectively; ensuring information is conveyed clearly and requests are responded to appropriately.
* Ensure all enquiries are answered promptly and referred to the correct department.
* Maintain a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
* Prepare relevant paperwork for patients prior to their arrival.
* Obtain contracts from private inpatients, day cases and emergency admissions.
* Explain the conditions of payment and clarify insurance details with patients.
* Process and record all payments received from patients in line with Trust policies.
* Accurately record data onto relevant computer systems.
* Scan required paperwork onto Compucare healthcare computer system.
* Ensure strict confidentiality at all times.

Education
Essential criteria
* Good level of education, English and Maths both verbal and written.
Desirable criteria
* Admin Qualification.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Previous receptionist experience.
Desirable criteria
* Previous receptionist experience within an NHS or private patient environment.
Competency
Essential criteria
* Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to communicate effectively with all levels of customers.
Desirable criteria
* Knowledge of hospital IT programs; EPIC, Compucare.
