They support researchers in transforming pioneering ideas into viable opportunities that attract industry and investors. The Role: As a Senior Commercialisation Manager in the field of Life Sciences, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of commercialisation projects from inception to completion whilst identifying, protecting, developing, and commercialising intellectual property (IP). You will work closely with academic inventors, industry partners, and investors to successfully bring groundbreaking innovations to market. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of Life Sciences - commercialisation projects from inception to completion. Identify, evaluate, and develop intellectual property (IP) opportunities. Lead negotiations on licensing, collaboration, and investment agreements. Provide strategic advice on IP protection, commercial potential, and development pathways. Support researchers in securing proof-of-concept and translational funding. Build and maintain strong relationships with academics, investors, and industry partners. Mentor and support Commercialisation Associates and Senior Associates. Represent the organisation at industry events and conferences. Essential Skills & Experience: PhD or significant research experience in Life Sciences. Proven commercial experience in technology development, licensing, or business development. Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and relationship management. Experience negotiating and managing commercial agreements. Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively. Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus. Some knowledge of IP protection mechanisms and legal agreements (desirable but not essential).
