An exciting opportunity has arrived in Swindon.
Swindon Sexual Health is looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse, who is willing to undertake maternity cover with a keen interest in Sexual Health and Contraception.
The successful candidate will complement our highly motivated community team. The successful post holder will assist the team with venepuncture, vaccinations and other injectable treatments.
We are a small team that consists of a close working multidisciplinary team - Drs, Nurses, Health Advisers, Heath Care Assistants, and Reception staff.
We are based in the Community at Swindon Health Centre.
Flexibility will be key to this role, as cover will be required across our sites. You will need to be available to work evenings and Saturdays as required.

* Venepuncture
* IM antibiotic treatments and HIV medication
* Chaperoning

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* To undertake venepuncture and administration of Vaccines once competency has been achieved
* To undertake the treatments of genital warts once relevant training has been completed
* To undertake screening asymptomatic patients once relevant training has been completed
* To set up and close clinical rooms appropriately at the beginning and end of each clinical session

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
* Evidence of maintaining CPD
* Previous Sexual Health experience
Experience
* Evidence of continuing professional development and a willingness to complete the required training
* Some experience of Sexual Health
* Attendance of the Sexually Transmitted Infection Foundation Course (STIF)

* Knowledge of current issues in Sexual Health
