About Community Coach (Health & Wellbeing)
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To effectively design, plan and deliver high-quality sessions in a range of health and physical activities that are accessible to all children, young people, adults, and older adults.
2. To work with partner agencies to identify local volunteers from within the community.
3. To effectively supervise, mentor, and direct support staff, volunteers, and apprentices.
4. To imaginatively promote local sporting and health opportunities to participants in schools, community settings, and care homes.
5. To take positive steps to identify and overcome barriers to participation amongst participants from disadvantaged backgrounds through good coaching practice.
6. To assist in the delivery of education and promotional sessions which improve the health and wellbeing of the local community.
7. To undertake training and continuous professional development as necessary relevant to the post and further career advancement e.g., Level 3 or 4 exercise specialist qualifications.
8. To contribute to the continuous evaluation and development of all health projects.
9. To represent RUCT at all internal and external meetings when required.
10. To monitor all projects as required by funding bodies, often using online data systems.
11. To be responsible for the recruitment of participants where required.
12. To promote all projects.
13. To monitor and evaluate all projects, ensuring data is up to date and accurate.
14. To prepare and maintain materials for sessions.
15. To act as cover staff for all programmes when required.
16. To attend training courses relevant to the role and maintain personal CPD.
17. To carry out administration such as: registers, reports, retention, and achievement data.
18. To work closely with colleagues throughout RUCT to extend knowledge and skills in order to identify best practice.
19. To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time commensurate with the grade of the post.
