Quality Engineer Uxbridge £36k 6 Month Contract Quality Engineer required to work for a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation based near Uxbridge. We are looking for an effective and well organised individual to work within a top level Quality team on a 6 month contract basis. You will be required to Perform independent visual, dimensional, inspection of component parts, sub-assemblies, and finished product assemblies. This role is key to ensuring the businesses meets Operational compliance in-line with the Companies procedures, specification and Customer / Certification requirements. To do this you will represent the quality team in all areas of operational quality. You will be Supporting / administrating the implementation of root cause and corrective actions within the business - focusing on Operational excellence. Key responsibilities: Day to day support of Operational Quality issues Creating Daily Report of Customer Escapes, Scrap and Inspection Turnaround Drive a Quality and Right First-Time culture within the functional area Support, guide the implementation of root cause and corrective actions within all areas of the business Mange the sites NCR process and engagement with the MRB (Material Review Board) Adhere to the internal procedures and quality plans as defined Take a proactive approach to quality control function leading to quality assurance - with the focus to increase inline inspection, application of control plans in order to reduce the number of Customer returns Responsible for documenting all operational & project concerns, issuing and managing the non-conformance's for satisfactory response and closure - eg NCR, MRB processes Supporting / participating continuous improvement events within the business management system Give guidance to the Operational and other quality staff on aspects relating to quality Monitor and escalate, where necessary, internal product quality issues Strong attitude for motivating others and lead teams of people Promote good ethical behaviour in the organisation Identify gaps relating to processes and implement procedural changes to reflect current practices which comply with internal, customer or certification requirementExperience: Have extensive experience in manufacturing environments High school education or above qualification - preferably related to industry Strong Excel and Power Point Knowledge Good problem-solving skills and an investigative mentality Must have very good oral and written communication skills Must Have Right to Work in the UK If you have the above skills and wish to be considered for this position or find out more details then please contact Nathan Woakes on (phone number removed) or submit your CV to alternatively, apply to this advert Proactive also offer a referral scheme for successful applicants - if you know anyone that could be suited to this position then please contact Proactive with their details and if they are placed by Proactive you will receive £250.
