An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Image Resource Engineer to join the Image Resource department at Rolls-Royce, located in Derby. The role involves traveling to other facilities across the UK and globally, with approximately 50% of your time spent at other sites.
The Image Resource department comprises a small team of technical imaging and creative experts that provide innovative solutions to imaging requirements within Rolls-Royce plc.
The technical aspect of the role includes the setup, capture, and analysis of high-speed video footage from various types of testing, while the creative aspects involve producing promotional videos and photography.
What you will be doing:
* Working as part of a team advising on the optimum solution to satisfy customer data requirements, including bespoke camera and lighting rig design.
* Managing projects from requirement capture to delivery of measurement data.
* Providing on-site support, including rigging and operating cameras and control systems.
* Understanding and undertaking image calibration.
* Providing data to customers via 3D laser scanning and Digital Imaging Correlation (DIC).
Training will be provided for the specific cameras and software used within the department.
Who we are looking for:
* A higher qualification or degree in Imaging, Photography, Digital Media, or a related subject.
* Specialism in Thermal imaging, Digital Image Correlation, Faro 3D scanning, or Digital Photography.
* Ability to work in small teams and independently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Established experience with a willingness to learn other imaging techniques.
