Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantive Consultant Gynae-Oncologist to join the team at University Hospital of Wales (UHW) due to the retirement of a valued Consultant. Join us in shaping the future of gynaecological oncology care at UHW Main duties of the job You will join a team of three highly skilled and experienced Gynae-Oncology Consultants, providing comprehensive care for patients with gynaecological cancers. The role will involve the full spectrum of gynaecological surgery, outpatient clinics, and active participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. Key responsibilities will include: Delivering high quality clinical care to patients with gynaecological cancers Performing complex oncological surgeries Leading outpatient clinics and contributing to diagnostic pathways Participating in MDT discussions and decision-making Teaching and supervising junior medical staff, including registrars and medical students Engaging in clinical research and contributing to ongoing developments in gynae-oncology Participating in the on-call rota to ensure continuity of care for in-patients Although this post is full-time, consideration will be given to applicants who require flexible working arrangements.
