We have been successfully operating in the field of mental health supported living since 2008 in the local area. Our mission is to provide outstanding support tailored to the individual needs of every person. The overall focus of the home is to achieve positive outcomes for our people, providing them with a safe and secure home and develop their independent living skills.
Ashwell Lodge is an 18 bedded home for adults with Mental Health diagnoses, we are looking to recruit a Deputy House Manager who wants to join our friendly and dedicated team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Deputy House Manager to become an integral part of our management team. In this role, you will support our people and be responsible for the smooth, efficient running of the home.
Applicants need to be committed to making a positive change to our people's lives, they must be flexible, resilient and do shift work, including sleep ins and weekends (if required). All applicants require passion and enthusiasm, excellent organisational skills, high levels of self-motivation and the necessary drive and commitment to ensure the smooth running of our home.
Deputy House Manager Role & Responsibilities
* To lead in the operational running of the Home, focussing on financial management, administration, overseeing staff rotas and holidays, ordering of food and consumables.
* Ensuring the home environment is kept to a high standard in terms of a nurturing environment for our people. Liaising with external contractors to ensure the home is both a safe and welcoming environment.
* Promote a positive culture within the home and a homely environment.
* Must be technically competent.
* Ensure the support plans, residents' files and staff files are kept in order and up to date.
* Support the Manager in ensuring that all necessary appointments are arranged, and social workers, parents or significant others are kept well informed.
* Being responsible for the health and safety across the Home.
* To support the Manager in evidencing practice of team members through induction/probation periods/supervisions and appraisals.
* To role model and promote agreed models of practice.
* To support and deputise for the Manager in terms of achieving positive outcomes for our people and liaising with health and social care professionals.
* To follow Libre Living's policies and procedures.
Requirements
Full time position available, however will need to be able to commit to sleep ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays. On Call responsibilities.
Essential Skills Required: Full UK Driving License, a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable for this role and you should be willing to study towards the Level 5 Diploma (company funded), excellent time management skills, previous experience of working in mental health and/or supported living environments.
The successful candidate will be passionate about our people, experienced and a confident team player and have the skills to lead a team.

Hours: 40hrs per week, variable Overtime opportunities also available.
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 dependent on NVQ level and experience.
Education:
* GCSE or equivalent.
* A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social care is desirable for this role and you should be willing to study towards the Level 5 Diploma (company funded).
* Relevant previous experience of working in Mental Health.
* Full UK Driving License.
Licence/Certification:
* Enhanced DBS (once completed all team members will be asked to sign up to the Update service).
Shift availability:
* Day shift.
* Night shift.
* Overnight shift/ Sleep in’s.
* On call Rota.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
Pay: £25,000.00 - £28,000.00 per year.
