The Opportunity
For a skilled Maintenance Supervisor who is passionate about both advanced technology and traditional machinery. Joining a dynamic and forward-thinking team at an established site in the Jewellery Quarter, you will be instrumental in the future development and support of the site, supporting the business to implement our continuous improvement strategy.
You will lead a team responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment, which ranges from state-of-the-art machinery to classic systems, ensuring it is in good condition and operating at peak efficiency. You will also be leading your small friendly team of maintenance operatives to carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties of the site and plant.
You will be proactive and 'hands on' in all maintenance activity including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), defect and risk management, breakdowns, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and project engineering work.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm
Friday 7am to 2pm
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. A proven track record of managing a team of engineers responsible for the maintenance of machinery and equipment, ideally in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
2. Strong leadership skills.
3. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
4. Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance best practices.
5. The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
6. Knowledge of industrial processes such as casting, rolling, annealing and CNC machining.
7. Technical skills and knowledge for electrical, mechanical, automation and building services.
8. Qualifications in relevant technical field (e.g., engineering, maintenance management).
The successful applicant will need to complete a basic DBS check at the company's expense.
