Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding ASD Secondary School in Southport.
Role Overview:

* Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

* Start Date: Immediate
* Duration: Until Easter Half Term (with potential to continue for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and group support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
* Assist in creating and delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual needs.
* Support students in overcoming any social, emotional, or academic challenges.
* Work alongside teachers and other support staff to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience working with SEND children or adults is highly desirable.
* A Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
* Passion for working with students who have special educational needs, particularly ASD.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to show empathy and provide the necessary support for students to thrive.
