Your New Role
Our client is currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer to join an established maintenance team. Whilst on shift your core duties will largely be centred around maintaining fast-paced packaging lines, dealing with day-to-day production requirements and addressing any issues that may arise. You will also be required to:
1. Maintain high output production lines
2. Complete the day-to-day production requirements
3. Deal with any issues that may arise
4. Fault diagnosis in electrical systems and equipment
5. Interpret electrical drawings
6. Maintain an organised work environment
7. Work to quality standards
8. Perform other duties as directed
9. Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to
What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have relevant industrial maintenance experience, a recognised qualification and most importantly, the right attitude!
Essential Criteria:
Experience as an electrical or mechatronic technician
Achieved a recognised electrical qualification
Working knowledge of the following: Hydraulics / PLC / Pneumatics / SCADA systems
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Ability to make decisions, plan and prioritise work
Ability to use own initiative
Flexibility in working hours during the high season.
Desirable Criteria:
Candidates ideally have forklift experience, however this is not essential as Forklift Licence Training will be provided
Experience of working in a busy environment.
What You'll Get In Return
For working a standard 37.5 hour week primarily on days (June - January), Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:00 you will earn a highly competitive salary of up to £38000 (DoE and skill) supplemented with enhanced OT rates of 1.5 and 2.0 on Sundays. The benefits package also includes 25 + 8 holidays, matched pension scheme and a highly achievable production-dependent bonus. February - May the site operates on a 2 shift basis on 07:00 - 15:00 and 15:00 - 23:00 (rotating weekly) in order to meet increased product demand.
