Indirect Buyer – Logistics & Materials | Somerset or Coventry | Hybrid | Up to £60,000 The Situation: The Civils & Infrastructure Team at Ford & Stanley are seeking an experienced Indirect Buyer to join an established OEM within the automotive sector to support the build, and business operations for their £4 billion mega factory in Somerset. This new factory is the largest of its kind in the UK, and will position the company, and their products, at the forefront of the automotive sector. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the sourcing and procurement of Capex/Opex indirect goods and services, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all awarding processes. Negotiate and execute contracts for key items and services, including dies, moulds, HSE items, export-import logistics, 3PLs, and site-related services. Assess supplier capabilities, product quality, pricing, and delivery terms to secure the best value and maintain high standards. Build strong relationships with internal teams and present cost-reduction strategies and category plans to procurement leadership. Stay updated on market trends, identify supply chain risks, and implement contingency plans to prevent operational disruptions.
