The Special Processes Apprenticeship Programme:
The Apprenticeship Programme follows a structured Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering- Technical Support Technician.
1. Year 1: Spend time at a private local engineering training provider where the relevant qualification units will be delivered and assessed.
2. Year 2-3: Delivered and assessed within Safran where you will be required to achieve a Level 3 Diploma.
What will I be doing?
During your apprenticeship, you will work to aerospace specifications and internal processes. Your main responsibilities will encompass all manufacturing (Machining & Special Process) methods associated with the production of high-value landing gear components. Your knowledge and skills will be utilized to assist our continuous improvement programme to reduce shop processing times, manufacturing hours, and improve product quality.

What do I need?
1. Keen interest in science and engineering with a methodical and thorough approach to work.
2. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
3. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
4. Motivated, hardworking individual with excellent planning and organisational skills.
5. Ability to effectively work as part of a team and independently.
6. Achieved, or expect to achieve at least 5 GCSE's - including Math and English - Grade A-C or 5-9, Science and a technology.
Time shared between the Safran Landing Systems Services site and the Training Providers site, both located in Gloucester.
