Due to increased business, this not-for-profit is looking for a well-rounded Finance Assistant to join them on a fixed-term contract, expected to last six to nine months, and introduced to support the wider finance team and alleviate the workload.\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\n\n * Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 35 hours per week\n\n * Salary: £24,000 pro rata\n\n * 25 days holiday, pro rata\n\n * Hybrid working, with two days in the office\n\n * Free parking\n\nFinance Assistant Responsibilities:\n\n * Support the finance team with regular auditing, compiling data and documentation\n\n * Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internally to effectively resolve queries\n\n * Process invoices and handle any queries relating to invoices\n\n * Perform occasional credit control duties\n\n * Assist the accounts payable and accounts receivable function\n\n * Reconcile the bank\n\n * Ensure all financial transactions are recorded\n\n * Input financial information accurately\n\n * Provide ad-hoc support within the finance department, where necessary\n\nFinance Assistant Skills and Experience:\n\n * Immediately available\n\n * Prior experience in finance and accounting is essential and familiar with all aspects of finance\n\n * Demonstrates good all-round finance skills and enjoys being hands-on\n\n * Capable of picking up on a variety of tasks and happy to support all aspects of the finance team\n\n * Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills\n\n * Good organisation skills, able to work to deadlines and juggle multiple projects and priorities\n\n * Meticulous with a good attention to detail
