Your role and responsibilities You will be expected to provide high quality support service to ensure processes and procedures are followed to deliver the statutory services across SEND. Day to day tasks may include: providing a high level of support to the SEND Business Support Manager (BSM) and wider SEND colleagues ensuring the smooth running of all required duties. manage a multiple number of requirements by prioritising and maintaining communication with BSM and other colleagues be given tasks at short notice and need to be willing to rework current priorities Maintain office records and electronic systems learn aspects of other colleagues roles in order to cover in periods of absence which will strengthen team resilience You will need: to have a very flexible approach to changing responsibilities and an evolving role/Service to be resilient in recognising there may be challenges ahead and excited to face them. The team The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team works closely with children, young people and their families, schools, and other professionals to assess children's needs and develop Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We work alongside Special Education Services, SEND Funding and Provider Services and Educational Psychology and Therapeutic Services, Social Care and Health and we are all dedicated to helping children and young people achieve their individual outcomes. The countywide Business Support team are pivotal in supporting the compliance of all statutory processes. The team will also maintain efficient and timely correspondence and communication with young people, families and carers and ensuring accurate records.
