We have a fantastic opportunity for an Insurance Manager to join our Fleet Team based remotely with national travel. Reporting to the Head of Fleet, the Insurance Manager will hold responsibility for embedding EMED Group’s Insurance strategy and risk policies. As Insurance Manager, you will be the subject matter expert, providing a hands-on approach to support the business and initiatives and providing advice and guidance. You will develop and deploy a strategic plan to ensure a continuous improvement approach on managing adjusters, investigators, and appraisers, preparing and reporting against key metrics to inform key stakeholders. A key focus area is to engage with the Sites, the Compliance and Fleet teams to lead a transformational change in Insurance Management and best practice moving forwards. Role Responsibilities Create and modify procedures and documents related to policies. Assist in claims management. Encourage a positive incident reporting culture within the business and that all incidents are thoroughly investigated and root causes established; ensure that root causes and recommendations are communicated across business. Highlight non-compliant RED drivers for action. KPI and reporting – Monitor and measure ‘Key vehicle telematics performance indicators and remedy accordingly’. Liaise with Operations and Compliance teams to ensure that the business meet their procedural and contractual reporting requirements. Ensure that Insurance dashboards by division/region/site are delivered on time and provide support to the group business areas to facilitate step change improvement in performance. Support incident management and investigation process (when required) where Fleet is involved. To undertake any additional duties at the request of your line manager, which are deemed to be within your competency. Minimize risk of financial loss and loss ratio. Preside over claims investigations. Work with our repair agent SoppSopp. Working with Broker and the business to gather & review renewal information. Work with our Telematics systems to reduce company collisions. To undertake in monthly campaigns to reduce incidents. Identify areas for improved risk management practices within the organisation – both property and health and safety related. Identify and work with the organisation to create practices and procedures that ensure risks are managed effectively from an insurance viewpoint. Keep procedures up-to-date and ensure appropriate people are aware and able to follow the procedures as appropriate. Set strategy for event management within the organisation, produce clear guidelines and ensure adherence to the procedures, in conjunction with relevant teams. Resolve insurance queries from departments and third parties. Handling any insurance matters relating to the business of the organisation as required. To adhere to all EMED Group policies and procedures. To undertake any training and development activities at the request of your line manager. To comply with all EMED Group Policies and support new initiatives. Do you have what it takes? Previous experience in risk management or insurance background. CII qualified or a willingness to achieve it. (Desirable) Excellent communication and influencing skills. Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Commercial Insurance. Drive a culture of safety at all levels through communication and training to all staff. Produce in-depth analysis on a variety of incident topics, ascertain trends by location/type to create and continue with action plans. Commercial awareness, a high level of commercial understanding with experience of managing / controlling costs and budgets. Good level of experience working on IT software systems, open minded and quick to learn new systems, good word and excel skills. Full UK driving licence. Willingness to travel.
