Purchasing Manager
Location: Burslem, ST6
Role and Key Responsibilities:
1. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
2. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
3. Manage supplier relationships to ensure high service levels and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
4. Analyse and report on procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and lead times.
5. Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet the company's needs and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Analytically minded with excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
2. Experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
3. CIPS qualified.
4. Previous knowledge of Google Suite would be advantageous.
5. Understanding of engineering or design.
6. Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
Pay Rate: £35-£45k per annum
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
Friday: 07:00 - 15:00
