We’re looking for an outstanding Education Worker to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Derby. Cygnet Hospital Derby provides a low secure and mental health rehabilitation care based on the Recovery Model. Our integrated male care pathway includes Litchurch Ward, our low secure ward, and the Wyvern Unit, our mental health rehabilitation service. Alvaston Ward, our specialist female personality disorder service, is one of the leading services of its kind in the East and West Midlands. You’ll be working 16 hours a week, day shifts, Monday to Friday and some weekends (shift hours to be agreed at interview), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care. Hours are dependant on your current contract with Cygnet and will be discussed at interview. Your Day-to-Day… To carry out assigned tasks in support of, and supported by senior members of the Occupational Therapy Team Contribute to the provision of a high quality care for patients and to uphold the positive image of Cygnet Health Care To work as part of the Occupational Therapy Department Team. Liaise with external agencies & the local community where appropriate Support colleagues with information & advice Provide moral guidance to adults & act as a role model & mentor Develop reintegration plans & support adults’ reintegration after discharge. You are… Experienced in working with Service user group of EUPD Low Secure / Male Low Secure / MI High Dependency required Knowledgeable about health & safety, safeguarding & the education system An excellent people person with both patients & staff A good written & verbal communicator, & an effective team player Committed to high standards & continuous improvement Organised & able to prioritise work & meet deadlines The holder of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English & Maths at grade C or above.
